Managing Partner
Daniel Simpson
Mr. Simpson was born in Rivervale, New Jersey and was raised in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. He attended Georgia Southern University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. Mr. Simpson received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Stetson University College of Law, in St. Petersburg, Florida. While in law school, he clerked for a Federal Magistrate of the Middle District of Florida and interned with in-house counsel for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. Mr. Simpson then practiced with two large Florida workers’ compensation defense firm for twenty years where he served as the managing partner of their workers’ compensation department.
Daniel J. Simpson is a Founding Partner in the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office. Mr. Simpson has been representing employers, carriers and servicing agents in workers’ compensation litigation for over 20 years. He maintains a diverse client base that includes governmental entities, professional employment organizations (PEO), large self-insured employers, small businesses and insurance carriers. Mr. Simpson has successfully defended complex workers’ compensation cases, including the “heart and lung bill”, fraud, permanent total disability, intoxication, subrogation and toxic exposure cases from inception to trial / settlement, handling all aspects of litigation. His personalized focus to the details of every case, together with his commitment to providing strong customer service, allows Mr. Simpson to deliver solutions that meet all of the client’s legal needs, both efficiently and effectively.
Mr. Simpson is licensed to practice in the State of Florida and has litigated cases throughout the State in Miami Dade, Broward, Monroe, Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River, Hendry, Duval, Hillsborough, Pinellas, Lee, Polk, Leon and Escambia Counties. He has lectured at numerous seminars on topics such as implementing an effective defense strategy regarding catastrophic injuries, special requirements for compensability, expert medical advisors, fraud, emergency medical hearings, “heart and lung bill”, tort immunity, subrogation, attorney and adjuster ethics, idiopathic falls and mediation strategies.
In addition to being a member of the Florida Bar, Mr. Simpson is a member of the Palm Beach County Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Friends of 440, Inc., where he served as the Treasurer.
